Ta-Natyam

Meeting of dancers devoted in Indian dance styles started in 2005 mainly with bollywood projects. The group was found by Sangita Shresthová under the name Bolly Natyam. In 2009 all project transformed and changed the name into Ta-Natyam.

The group based its dances on South Indian classical dance Bharata Natyam which rearranges into contemporary compositions. Ta-Natyam also performs bollywood dances where classical dance, martial art of kalarippayattu, folk dances ad modern forms are incorporated. The choreographies are composed in collaboration with Sangita Shresthová (Nepal/CZ) and Maria Panou (Greece). Ta-Natyam often invites different dance and music guest from various genres and countries to collaborate and cross the boundaries of styles

The groups collaborate closely with Bollywood Film Festival Prague and Embassy of Indian Republic in Prague.
