Brazil samba and batucada (CZ)

Established in 1999. Today the band consists of six musicians. Band leader Miloš Vacík sings and plays a custom-built drum set, ethnic drums and percussion instruments. Singer and dancer Tereza Petrášová also plays percussion. Percussionist Martin Kreuzberg enriches the rhythms with a range of Afro-Brazilian and Cuban instruments. The rhythm section is accompanied by guitarist Jakub Hlobil and bassist Martin Drahoňovský. Jakub Klár complements with a flute and other wind instruments.
The whole formation adds up to a danceable, groovy band inspired by ethno and world music. The band is mainly, but not exclusively, influenced by Brazilian, Cuban and African rhythms. Tam-Tam Orchestra's shows are riveting entertainment, equally suitable in a nightclub, on a festival stage or at a dance party.
“Samba Batucada” is the rhythm of Brazilian samba that reverberates for days during the grand Rio de Janeiro carnival. A band consisting solely of drummers, playing the music of percussion instruments. A spellbinding drum show with costumes, musicians numbering ten or more. Can be accompanied by dancers and singers. Plays predoninantly Brazilian samba, but its repertoire encompasses Cuban and African rhythms. Uses the techniques of Rio de Janeiro's great Batucada ensembles. The band can expand the number of drummers as needed on request.
