RENA MILGROM and HEARN GADBOIS

Persian, gipsy and oriental dance & percussions (CZ, USA)

Professional oriental dance teacher since 1997. Her dance education started in early age with classical and modern dance, later Flamenco, African and Indian dance. Oriental dance education was received by number of well recognized teachers all over the world: Sabuha Shahnaz, Morocco, Jihan Jamal, Carolena Nericcio,Yamuna, Sema Yildiz, PhDr. Robyn Friend, Helene Eriksen, Sashar Zarif , Artemis etc.
Renas dance carrier includes performances in Japan, Belgium, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic as well as teaching workshops in different countries.
Regular work with Rromany peoples of Slovakia, Czech Republic and India brought her specialization in teaching Romany (gypsy) dances.

Collaboration with a renoun master percussionist Hearn Gadbois inspired her to further studies of Persian dance and music as well as dances of middle Asia.
As a duet with H. Gadbois they have developed unique drumdance performances as well as master classes of dance and drumming.

Hearn Gadbois professional pecussionist, teacher and composer with 35 year experience in New York, Japan, Europa and Asia. His mastery in techniques of goblet drums combined with foot percussions brought him interesting collaborations with many different artists (Yoko Ono, Patti Smith, Meredith Monk, Susan Deyhim, Gabrielle Roth, the Khan family) and dance companies all over the world. He designs and hand carves his instruments. In Czech Republic he is collaborating with Pavel Fajt, Vladimir Vaclavek, Shahab Tolouie and Rena Milgrom. His teaching method and art is sought at Prague HAMU and Intl. percussionist symposium Trstenice. In 2002 he released his solo album "Joinery" and Instructional CD for School of rhythm.
