Yellow Sisters & Magic Band (CZ)

A cappella, soul, afro and reggae, newly with the backing support of “Magic Band”.

Yellow Sisters is an original female vocal band - a cappella sound illusionists experimenting with their voices. Their music undulates between jazz, soul, funk, RnB, reggae and world music styles. Newly accompanied by the music group called Magic band. (based in Prague, CZ)

Yellow Sisters recorded their first demo CD in 2005. In 2006 were the finalist in the Colours Talents competition, organized by Indies Records and Colours of Ostrava Festival. Yellow Sisters debut album called Singalana was released in december 2006. Singers have strong connections with Africa, which is reflected in their art work and particularly in the way they work with rhythm, and in the depth and emotions of their lyrics and vocals.They performed travelling throughout Europe with a street-performance show, which culminated in The Gambia with the artistic project Czech-Gambian Connection. In Summer 2006 Yellow Sisters joined another project Senegal Meets Prague, inspired by an African traditional music and dance. Today the a cappella project is enriched by live music of Magic Band.
